FIG. 01 / FIELD HARDWAREPRODUCT 02 / PERMANENT WEIGHBRIDGES
Steel Weighbridge Deck, Welded to Outlast the Load
A fixed weighbridge is a structure first and an instrument second. Jiajia Forge builds U-shaped steel fully-welded closed-cavity decks for sites that will cycle thousands of times a week, in coastal air, mine dust and wash-down bays, year after year.
01 / CLOSED CAVITIES, NOT OPEN RIBS
Torsion is what opens weld seams.
An open-rib deck is lighter on paper, but an off-centre load twists it. Repeated twisting is what opens seams and drifts calibration on a busy lane.

STRUCTURAL LOGIC
Carry the load with the whole deck.
We use U-shaped steel sections welded into closed box cavities, so torsional load is carried by the complete structure rather than a single rib. Fully welded seams also deny water and grit a place to sit, which is where corrosion starts on a permanent installation.
It is a heavier way to build, and it is deliberate: the decks that stay in calibration are usually the ones that refuse to flex.
02 / A COATING SYSTEM YOU CAN MEASURE
Paint thickness is not a marketing phrase.
On a weighbridge it is the difference between a deck that keeps its calibration environment and one that starts rusting from the underside up.

WHY THE UNDERSIDE MATTERS
Blast to Sa2.5, then coat both faces.
Shot blasting to Sa2.5 gives the primer a mechanical key rather than a cosmetic one. Coating the underside as well as the top face matters because the underside is the part nobody inspects and the part that fails first on a damp or saline site. A dry film of at least 120 µm is the figure we work to, and it is a figure you can check on delivery with a gauge.
Static strength is easy to claim and hard to check. What matters on a busy lane is what happens after repeated loading, so the deck structure is validated in a third-party 2-million-cycle fatigue test. We would rather find a weld detail that needs work in a test rig than on an operator's lane.
03 / SIZES AND COMBINATIONS
Configurable, not one-size-fits-all.
Deck dimensions are configurable. Tell us the longest vehicle and the wheelbase spread and we will propose either a single deck or a ZDG multi-deck combination. The 3500×1000 mm and widened 4200×1000 mm decks cover most rigid trucks and trailers; combinations cover the mixed fleets that do not fit either.
Send the fleet
Vehicle list, maximum axle load and the longest wheelbase on the lane.
Receive a layout
A single deck, a widened deck, or a ZDG combination with the capacity chosen from 20, 50 or 100 ton.
Confirm the site
Foundation, drainage and access requirements set out before fabrication starts.
NEXT STEP / 01
Tell us what you need to weigh.
Send the axle loads, deck size and site conditions. We will come back with a factory quote, the trade terms and a delivery window you can plan around.
